Description of Historic Kent Manor Inn & Restaurant
Set upon a 224-acre waterfront farm, Historic Kent Manor Inn & Restaurant provides its guests with the freshest and most creative New American cuisine while exuding Eastern Shore style and charm. Only 15 miles from Annapolis, Historic Kent Manor Inn and Chef William tantalizes everyone with exquisite preparation and the most creative presentations. Chef William recently joined us from Amelia Island Plantation and prepares the most scrumptious cuisine. Only the freshest Eastern Shore ingredients are being sourced for our menus. The original wing of the manor was built in 1820; the three-story center portion was added just prior to the Civil War. The manor was operated as a summer hotel, "The Brightsworth Inn", from the turn of the last century until 1911 and again in 1922 as "Kent Hall". In 1951, the property was sold and renamed "Pennyworth Farm" by its new proprietor. The manor was fully restored in 1987.
